A monk with a beguine (1591) by the Dutch Golden Age painter Cornelis Corneliszoon van Haarlem (1562- 1638). It’s a radical protestant and anti-Catholic painting. But anyway it’s one of my favorites.
Another reclining nude by the French academic painter Delphin Enjolras (1857–1945). Enjolras used a lot of times the same tricks, the same poses, maybe the same girls.
A really gorgeous exotic dancer by the American artist Earle K. Bergey (1901–1952). Bergey worked normally as an illustrator for magazines and paperback books. But here it’s easy to be seen, that he’s a lot better than many of his academic colleagues.
