Cleopatra and Anthony (1902) by the great American Illustrator Joseph Christian Leyendecker (1874-1951). This is also a very typical Art Nouveau illustration and much more erotic than Leyendecker did normally.
This is an early example of the artist's work... His advertising commissions were ultra stylish and he became a wealthy man from those original oils. This is painting is academic in style, but shows his masterful drawing style already.
